Melissa Parham

Meet Melissa Parham (NMLS: 2298873). Parham is originally from Lubbock, Texas. She currently serves as a Portfolio Manager and Banking Officer at our Dallas branch location

Parham has been with the bank since 2018 and originally started in the Credit Administration Department before moving into an Analyst role and spent the last year serving as a Team Lead before being promoted to Portfolio Manager. Her current duties consist of assisting the Dallas Market Presidents with underwriting needs as well as developing relationships with potential clients.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? “Well, Intentions and Happy Accidents.”

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I would love to learn how to go paragliding, but I know I would be too scared to go without a guide. 

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Dance around, then plan what to save, invest, give, and spend of course.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time? On my phone, either catching up on the latest story or watching cute dog videos.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, you’ve never been to, where would you go? I would love to visit Greece! I had a trip planned for 2020 which has been postponed for two years. Hopefully, this will be the year! 

Tell us something that might surprise us about you. I used to play the violin and growing up, I was a part of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Who is your favorite sports team? The Dallas Mavericks! I have a ball signed by Jalen Brunson in my office.

What is your go-to Karaoke song? Anything Shania Twain but my favorite is “Any Man of Mine.”

What is your favorite all-time quote? “You are enough. You are so enough. It is unbelievable how enough you are.” 

Is there anything else you’d like to add? I’m currently involved with two financial ministries at Watermark Community Church, Moneywise and Financial Catalyst. Moneywise is a program that enables participants to develop financial literacy and money management skills. Financial Catalyst is a two-part stewardship program for under-resourced individuals and households. At the end of the program, Watermark matches the contributions which can be used toward a financial goal or purchasing a home, vehicle, higher education, or a business asset.
