FirstCapital Bank of Texas Receives TBA Cornerstone Award
MIDLAND, Texas – FirstCapital Bank of Texas (FCB) is proud to be named a recipient of this year’s Cornerstone Award by the Texas Bankers Association Foundation. The award honors banks who have demonstrated their commitment to their customers and communities through philanthropic community efforts. The Texas Bankers Foundation has recognized excellence in community involvement for the past 18 years through the Cornerstone Awards.
Midland-based FCB was recognized for its annual Christmas with Bonham event.
Students from Bonham Elementary are invited to attend the event, which is held in December each year at the bank’s West branch location in Midland. The students look forward to the event each year as it has become a holiday tradition for many families. Children are invited to meet Santa, and the bank takes complimentary pictures of the children with Santa for their families. Team members also dress in holiday character costumes and help give out treat bags filled with school supplies and candy.
“As a community bank, we strive to give back and make a difference in our communities.” said FCB VP/Marketing Manager, Hazel Morrison. “We’ve partnered with Bonham Elementary for the past 10 years and it’s always heart warming to see how much joy this event brings to the students and families. I’m thankful that we’re able to give back to the community this way and help make a difference during the holiday season.”
The Texas Bankers Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Texas Bankers Association, serves and supports Texas banks, their employees, and communities through various programs.
