FirstCapital Bank of Texas Appoints New Bank President
MIDLAND, Texas – FirstCapital Bank of Texas (FCB) is excited to announce the promotion of Jeremy Bishop (NMLS: 472431) to Bank President. Bishop will continue to office at the bank’s downtown location in Midland.
Bishop has most recently served as the bank’s Midland Market President since 2017.
Born in Dimmitt, Texas, Bishop has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
“I have met and forged many different relationships in my 15 years of living in Midland. However, with this new role I look forward to forming new relationships with hard-working, entrepreneurial, and honest people in all our markets throughout Texas,” Bishop said. “I’m excited to lead our team and to continue putting our customers and communities above all.”

Bishop has 15 years of bank industry experience and specializes in commercial lending. In addition, Bishop was a former member of the Rotary Club of Midland, former board member on the Buffalo Trail Council and United Way Allocation panel member. Currently, he is an active member of the First United Methodist Church and is on the Scholarship Review Committee for the Permian Basin Area Foundation.
