FirstCapital Bank of Texas Chairman named Vice Chairman of the American Bankers Association

The American Bankers Association’s Nominating Committee has selected the official slate of candidates for ABA officers for election at the association’s annual convention to be held in Los Angeles, Nov. 8-10. The nomination includes FirstCapital Bank of Texas’ Chairman, Ken Burgess, as Vice Chairman.

FirstCapital Bank of Texas, along with its Board of Directors, is pleased with Burgessnomination and is ready to support him in his 3 year term. After one year as Vice Chairman, Ken will spend one year as Chairman-Elect and a third year as Chairman of the American Bankers Association.  Ken has held various leadership positions within the ABA including Chairman of the Community Bankers Council and Chairman of the advisory board for The Corporation For American Banking.  He has also been an active advocate for the banking industry in recent years by testifying before the House Banking committee of the US House of Representatives in favor of community banking regulatory relief.

Ken is currently serving as the Chairman of the Texas Bankers Association. He has given several years of service to the industry at the state level and we are proud of the continued involvement at the national level.
